Actually a Dream Come True

This week I started a new job. I’m at the same company but working on the private enterprise cloud project. I’ve been hunting the job for about a year and am really pleased that I didn’t give up over that time. I’m not known for skills with delayed gratification.

This week I got the source to build, met a lot of people, started learning about the architecture and the usual getting your-feet-wet type activities.

This morning I woke up from a dream, a recurring dream, where I’m working to get a new job, one I like better, and there are various issues in my way then, in the dream, I remembered I have accomplished this. It was satisfying.

Nothing about the job will be perfect, nothing is perfect, but I know I’ll learn a lot and get to work with some really great people. This is good.
